Default Cattleya orchid cross in bloom

I purchased this at an Orchid Show and while walking about several of the Orchid growers there commented on it and asked if any were available, I had to tell each that asked it was the sole specimen there and I'm happy to have it.

Do you have the id? It looks to me like it might be some variety of laelia purpurata, but I'm no expert. It's very nice!

Sorry, just realized I had not typed it in, c. intermedia var coerulea x c. maxima var coerulea (Hecor) this is what the label plate stated from the grower.

I'm not surprised that it attracted a lot of interest. It has great potential for 'blue' colour' and it already has very beautiful 'blue' venation in the lip. Congrats on the acquisition.

Thank you and while not obvious in the photo the blue venation is on the rear portion of the curls as well.

Thank you, I was told it blooms 2 x a year and am monitoring how long the blooms last since I don't know how old they are but they continue to be in great condition......
