I guess you had an unusually low temperature about 3 months ago - maybe just in a thunderstorm... Vandas - like other related orchids (Phallies for example) have flowering triggered by a temperature drop. Here in UK, I have to use heating in my greenhouse where I grow all my orchids, and with thermostats, in theory the minimum night temperature is always the same. In practice, there are unusually cold nights, and times when maybe I forgot to shut the greenhouse door properly, and then again, with heating apparatus, - with any tech' stuff - it goes wrong at times. Whatever the reason, my normal minimum night temperature is "17" deg.C.- Even then it is colder next to the glass, than it is down on the bench. Butwhen I have a problem, whatever it is, it can go much colder - down to 10 for example on a cold summer night last year when the tehrmostat failed... and then suddenly I too had far more plants in spike than usual.
Its nice when it happens, but of course after flowering there hs to be a rest before the next spikes, so maybe you too will find in a few months that you haven't got your usual two or three.
But nice to see them . Keep up the good work .
