Default Den Sakol blue with 2 spikes

This month seems to be the month for dendrobiums. Among the so-called 'blue' dendrobe this is my favourite. The flowers are large W7.5cm and H7cm. This time the flowering lead pseudobulb had 2 spikes. Since I got the thrips under control I now have no problems with deformed flowers , bud blasts and dried up spikes.

Let me be the first to say that this Dendrobium is beautiful and healthy looking. I am sure it was something of a pain finally getting the Thrips under control. I remember you discussing that months ago. Glad this is doing that well. AL

    Thanks everyone.

@ Devan: I grow my dendrobiums together with all other orchids in the same orchid house and get the same treatment as the rest. As I live in the tropics and grow 24/7 outdoors under 50% shade, this would translate to what would be referred to as cattelya growing conditions in more temperate lands, I guess. Also for dendrobes and phals, I make sure the undersides of the leaves get wetted during watering to prevent infestation by spider mites.
