    Default Cattleya (Laelia) pulcherrima

Somehow the pic does not do justice to the flowers. Don't know why, it is difficult to pin down. It really does deserve the latin name (pulcherrima means beautiful). Flowers some 5 - 5 1/2 inches across. Not as well perfumed a most white catts, maybe I should wait until the sun is further up before saying that, as the perfume is not constant throughout the 24 hours. A good addition to the cattleya collection, this one.

With the best parents around you can expect the offspring to be beautiful and this semi alba is just that. Congrats.
