Default The shabby old-fashioned elegance of Cattleya mossiae v wagneri

I love the smart as paint new hybrids ( if not too jazzy - such as Toshie Aokie - which I showed as NOID/Jacs Yellow) but I also love the species which are like old ladies with slightly wild hair , and wrinkled stockings, society beauties in their day, but now past it... but then, I'm past it too - see my cv and count the decades... too many - not that I was ever a Society beauty ha-ha !.
This is C.mossiae - not alba, but v. Wagneri - or so they tell me in South America. ( Which explains why I had to pay twice as much as if it was a normal alba). Can I tell the difference ? Don't ask...But it is so rewarding to be innocent, and have faith.. If I were a cynic I wouldn't have this lovely thing out in my greenhouse now, would I ?

.Lasts 6 weeks or more in flower, has perfume to die for , and currently has three spikes ( about 7 or 8 flowers ) in a 7 inch pot.

Its lovely! I had looked high and low for a white catt. Found one last summer finally...it's similar to yours. I like the old lady white catts from way back as well. If I found your lovely old cross, i'd bring it home too.

She is stunning ! And from your description of the floriferousness and flower life, it indeed is a very high quality cultivar or clone. Have to look for one.
