Default Cattleya Portiata 'Mel' x Cattleya Norooma 'Sunshine'

Well wasnt this one a surprise!? walked through the door at the meeting last night and there were four of these on the sales table! i snapped up the biggest and the healthiest of them!

5 blooms, 5 Pbulbs, and great root system, i bit top heavy too, so the plastic bags are there for support-see Al, your not the only one who recycles! i find the plastic bags make great packing material for orchid transport-just ask and i will post a pic of my "Transport Apperatus" setup.

And no, the flowers aren't extremely large for the plant, they are just ALOT closer to the camera......they hang out by around 20cm from the leading edge of the pot.

Thanks Eric, The bloom isnt actually the lavender colour, but more of a dark magenta colour. I will try to get some better coloured pics!
