    Default Purple Cattleya Noid

I bought this during my last outing. The lady said it was a small purple cattleya. After looking at the flower i'm thinking it is a schomburgkia cross. I'll have to come up with a good nickname. It looks somewhat like Kodama, but the flowers are much smaller and the smell is way different. This one smells spicy...somewhat like cinnamon candy.

Beautiful orchid. It is so lovely I would call it "I don't give a "Darn" if it's a NOID"

I looked it up and you are right, it is a dead ringer for my plant. I'll give the lady a call and see if this rings a bell. If this is an oldtime cross it will be the one as most of her plants are ancient. Thank You for the help with the name.

Connie, I really like the color and the delicate blooms. A real beauty. I picked up a Pot. Paradise Rose 'Fuschia' a few days ago, and although the blooms are a bit damaged, they are an intense purple color also, but only a faint fragrance, that I can smell.
    Cheers,
    Tony

It's very pretty. You could call it " Spicy Cinnamon Candy"
