About two years ago on my birthday, there was a local orchid show. As I walked in the sales side, I saw two LARGE Vandas in bloom. One of them was luzonica. I grabbed it without looking at the price. When I tried to pay, the lady said, $25. OMG! It was even better.

Since then, sadly I have not seen the flowers yet.

Hi just to share with you 3 months ago when I was in Sarawak I visited one nursery I was lucky one of the V.luzonica in blooms. I was speechless because another species totally different than mine more pink color and the leaf totally different than mine than I took the opportunity, bargain to get cutting for mature plant. Look at the flowers below lovely.

Really? Are you giving it enough bright light to coax it to flower?

If you see the photo of Zain's plant I can see it is getting bright light .... just be careful of direct extremely hot midday sunlight as that might scorch the leaves due to excess heat. It loves hot to warm conditions but not direct burning heat from the sun.

Hmmmm .... perhaps feed it with a bloom booster fert? Just my thoughts ....

Yes the flowers sure look a bit different ..... was this grown from seed or imported from the Philippines? Maybe the environmental factors/climate in Malaysia might have brought about this? Warmer conditions maybe because Malaysia is a bit closer to the equator than the Philippines? Just thinking aloud.

Jojo imported from Philippine since Sarawak is very near to your country this is one of the best selected species that the owner told me.
