    Gorgeous color and such richness of blooms! Dendrobiums really overwhelm me with their completely different looks and characteristics. My two noid dens are evergreen canes and look NOTHING like this (much less impressive, to say the least). No idea why/how these photos got in here, except that the last one was tagged a dendrobium.

    Ron, Yew,
    I went a-looking for more info on this, and without fail I found it listed as a synonym for Den. secundum. Jim Cootes does not even mention it in his book. Is there some taxonomic controversy I am unaware of?

    hi Michael,
    it may be listed as a synonym, but those are 2 different species. im sure its in Jim's new book now.

    hi Betty,
    i cant detect it, also to high up mounted for me to give it a sniff. the longest cane i can reach, but flowers are not open yet.
