Juzzel, well come to think of it ... it could very well be a progeny from alba parents and often offspring from alba parents will vary ... quite a number will even come out/revert back as the regular "brownish" form which is a very dominant trait in the sanderianas even among albas.

It is difficult/variable to obtain the true alba-green form specially with good shape even with proven parents .... a lot will have the yellowish tinge. That is why the alba-green form is rare and usually expensive.

Juzzel here are some old photos taken years back of some of my show type sanderianas (which have not bloom yet as of today). I've included one of my alba forms here.

    Name: Vanda Sanderana2 (Small).jpg

    Name: V sanderana alba (Small).jpg

If you search the posts there is an earlier thread of a really outstanding alba form (if I can find that post and the photo) which I posted before which belonged to a friend.

Personally I pictured that alba you're referring to, the one displayed last year with an outstanding price of P45K

    Yup!

Extravagant price! I was able to obtain a keiki of that plant but up to now after a year ... it's still the same size. The new leaf growth is only around 3 inches in length .... even after a year! Gosh!!!! I might not live long enough to see this flower! LOL!

That's the reason why I'm considering buying a blooming sized one despite being pricey. I talked to Mr. Jun Golamco last Wednesday. He told me his albas are about 10yrs of age. Could this be a good buy just in case?

Could be. Jun is a native of Davao City and there are a lot of really good clones of Sanderiana both alba and regular varieties being grown there by the locals and the plant is endemic to that part of the Philippines.

I'm from Mindanao too but from CDO. I'll be going on a 3 day trip to Davao c/o my sister sometime end of this month during the extended holiday. Not for orchids but more for relaxation and visiting my "adopted" kid over there.

Juzzell .... not bad price ranges if that is the case. I just hope these are the types that I personally want and wish for .... you know the "show" type just like the one that belongs to my friend where I posted that here sometime ago? Oh well ....
