    That had not occurred to me; can't recall ever seeing a peloric vanda, but they are common in Phalaenopsis which are quite close - in the same sub-tribe, so maybe that is an answer.

    Yes it came from Thailand, and from Kultana ; I think they are not too careful about names, and registering must be an awful hassle for them .
    Peloric plants of any description don't catch on with me - I'm like the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland - "off with his head"... I'll probably donate it as a raffle prize at the next Society meeting, now that I realise it is unlikely to get better next time, someone will love it, I'm sure.
