    Default Vanda Pachera's Delight #5

I am a sucker for good blues, although I bought several of this grex unseen, on the basis of the fiorst one I had. The flower size, now fully developed will be plain - a whisker off 12 cm, and this off a plant which is only 10 inches or so high - a spike of 8 too.
But - with reference to myn comments about deformed flowers, no trace of that here !
No more Vandas tonight - no more postings - my wrist is beginning to ache.

Wow and double wow. I am a sucker for blues to begin with and your photo and description of the orchid makes this sound like one special plant. AL

Yep, this is not your run-of-the-mill Pachara Delight. Excellent!

Default The latest Pachera's delight to flower

The plant on the left is the latest one - a smaller plant than the last, smaller flowers too ; the one on the right is the #5 which started this thread.
I haven't seen a bad one so far ! ( of Pacheras Delight) . #5 has flowers about 12 cm - now going off as can be seen . The new one- #6 is 10cm spread for the largest flower, but the newly opened flowers are not up to full size yet ; I find they go on growing for at least a week if I leave the plants in the growing house - but stop growing if I bring the plant in and put it on the table here.
