    Mine was coming along nicely until I decided to divide it. The division I gave to my cousin flowered once and died. Yes it does have a reputation of being rather delicate - but then as I have mentioned earlier the lavenders don't seem to do well in my place.

    Connie, unlike the US our front and backyards are always fenced up with chain-link fences or brickwalls from 4 - 6 high. Thefts of orchid plants are not common at all here but it is still better to be safe than sorry. Petty thefts here are mostly committed by drug addicts who are known to steal jeans drying off your clothesline and shoes from your front door.
