This hybrid from Thailand is in bloom again. It was tagged as Blc Keowee x Schomburgkia splendida but now Schom is Mcp. Take your pick.
WOW! That one is a real beauty, Yew.....Is it fragrant? Betty
What an incredible flower, Yew!
Great show Yew! Colour, pattern and shape is just brilliant!
This is a brilliant hybrid ! Is this from Thailand or a Malay nursery??
I recently made a hybrid of C.Hawaian Wedding "Virgin" with Myrmeco thomsoniana , but alas, the pod turned yellow and fell after some 6 weeks. I had not previously seen any example of the intergeneric cross - now I see what might have been ! What an amzing lip. Congrats Yew Sung !
If one comes my way it will be an immediate buy .
I heartily agree this is an awesome Orchid and your photography is just great.
As soon as I saw the pic. I knew that I had one of these but mine was not called what yours is tagged.
I have had this plant for about 8 years, and made several divisions so I now have 3 pots actively growing.
I have entered the plant (in flower) in 2 AOS judged Shows and won 1st. and 3rd prizes for it under the Tag. Recchara. Francis Fox (Blc. Polka Dot x Shom. Tibicinis). I remember researching it and found that it was registered this way.
I am attaching a pic. of mine (photography not as good as yours but I hope you can see it).
What do you think is the difference, and why?
Wow...two of my favorite flowers crossed into one amazing beauty! I may need to find one of these.
