There is a lot of V.cristata in this ; although the last time I grew that species it had become a Trudelia - IOSPE tells me that it is back in the Vandas. Of course it has a lip very different from most vandas I can think of which always justified the move to me - apart from the spike habit. Also it is rather cooler growing, which means it is not available ( as far as I know) from rthe usual sources of Vanda plants , and I suppose my plants died out because I was growing them too warm. The other parent does not seem to have contributed much apart from the spots , unless these flowers are much bigger than I envisage.
Hoiwever, it is an interesting hybrid, but not one I can go overboard about . Look out for the parent is my advice - in fact if anyone can give me a source in Europe for either V cristata ort its near look-alike V.alpina, I'll be grateful.
