Beautiful, Pat! I had the same trouble capturing the magenta/burgundy on the first heirloom catt I rescued - Redglen 'Eureka'. I must have photoed it 1,000 different ways, with different backgrounds and different light. I have, after A LOT of experimenting, found that the colors come out best in semi-bright, indirect natural light, with a neutral background behind them - I usually use black, but sometimes a lighter neutral like like beige works better. It takes a lot of messing around, but photography is another of my new obsessions, and I think you'll be finding yourself drawn in as well (don't you have a new camera?). Anyway - am getting some new pictures of the progress on my "alleged" Portia and will post them on that thread when I can.

Nice work - I'd love to see more of your catt blooms!
