Default A couple of Dends I bought yesterday

The Yellow and reddish one is called "Banana Chocolate" and the other one "Queen Pink Splash". I suspect the first one is the vendor's name, and certainly is not registered - not in the very latest Orchidwiz 8.1.
Queen Pink is a registered name ; maybe this is a sport from it - the vendor assured me it is stable and always looks like this.
I bought them at my Society's Show on Saturday - I always want to try and find something I can buy from the two or three vendors who support us , they do help make the show . As it happens, this was the only stand I bought from - one of the others had a lot of nice stuff but far too expensive for me or indeed for the plants - i.e. over-priced , and the third one had plants which I did not like much.
I repotted immediately I got home, put them into Perlite with a grit topping, to grow in S/H when the flowers have gone over - these D phalenopsis types seem to like that, in my conditions

I particularly like that second one, Geoff. Nice color pattern.

It may very well be that the vendor put a name on Dendrobium # 1, but I find the name to be quite appropriate in any case. The second Dendrobium has great style and colors Geoff. Nice buys. AL

Very nice dens. The Queen Pink seems to be all the rage here. Saw a lot of them and similar for sale at our recent orchid show.

Well it is a bit different I think - and most of us like something new , now and then. Of course I guessed that it was bred in your part of the world - give or take a thousand miles ! But I expect it cost more in UK than it did in Kedah ! ( 15 pounds sterling - say 24 US$ - 75 Ringgit ?)

Around 20 Ringgit. Only the lasianthera crosses are expensive at around 30-40 Ringgit.
