I would have to say a hybrid, Zainal. That does not look at all like the species, IME. Perhaps others will chime in.

I have 4 Nobile at home, and all of them a very different, but they are all the species. Nobiles have a HUGE variation in colour, there are some at work that are very pale, and some that are a striking magenta. Plus the canes are always thin, and flowers are always small, like yours. This is one i wouldnt mind adding to the collection!

Thanks kiwi for your info and opinion I'm very happy to have this plant blooming in my hand rather then looking dead twigs.

It's not the color, but the good form that makes me question if it's a jungle-collected nobile.

Whatever it is, what an exciting thought that it's from the wilds, and is SO pretty and sort of casually showing itself off! Nice work blooming it.

Zain...great dendrobe! The little plant that is growing around it. I'm racking my brain on it. I know what it is and I can't for the life of me remember the botanical name. Any help??
