    It depends on your growing conditions. I have this Cattleya, too. Sometimes it produces just empty sheaths, no buds. As far as I remember, it bloomed for me in two or three months after a sheath shows.
    I love this Catt. At first, its bud opens yellow, than gets orange, pink and dark red at the end.
