Tucker, can you describe the fragrance that it had after the two years being established in a wood box?

I have a very hard time describing fragrance. But Hawaii Stars is a sweet fragrance like a perfume. Mine gets pretty strong in the morning but is usually gone by the afternoon.

Isn't it amazing how the plants have a daily timed out fragrance delivery? Maybe to
Attract only a Specific type of insect for pollination....

Thanks for responding. So a perfume sweet smell.... Sounds good!

I think you're exactly right. The orchid will produce a fragrance that attracts a certain insect and it will be fragrant during the time of day or night when that insect is most active. Or, at least, that's what I've been told.

Sorry I didn't answer promptly...it's been crazy around here. The flowers have a scent like cinnamon candy and the scent gets much stronger at night. If i'm not here much he next couple weeks we have some construction going on around the house...i'll try and get to the computer at least once or twice a day....
