    Cool Blc. Hawaii Stars 'Hsinying'

This plant is one I ordered about six weeks ago. It arrived with one squished flower that soon fell off. To my suprise a couple weeks later I found a sheath filling with buds...then a second and recently a third. The first round of flowers is opening and it looks like if all goes well i'll have about a dozen flowers total.

Nice hybrid! but I wish the lip color would keep the intense color through out its life. (The flowers are very long lasting but the lip color will become much much lighter after a week or so.)

Very beautiful indeed, and with 12 blooms it will be a masterpiece, can't wait to see all the blooms.

Hmm, that is a bummer! Currently the well saturated lip contrasts so nicely with the rest of the flower.

The lip does fade, but not completely. The shape and size of the flowers are very nice....but what makes this plant desirable to me is that they are very easy to bloom and are fast growers. One of the first cattleya types I bought as a baggie baby was of this cross. That plant was a different variation of the cross.

Lovely cattleya orchid. Had considered this one myself. May have to get one now after seeing yours. Congratulations on your great taste and lovely blooms.

Your's is a little nicer than the one have. You have a little more purple running up the side of the lip. I've had mine for many years and it's well established in a wood basket. The lip does fade a little but mine gets lots of flowers and blooms three or four times a year here in south Florida. Mine is also fragrant but it wasn't for the first couple years that I had it. It's turned out to be one of my favorite plants because of the frequent blooming. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.
