This is a discussion on Lctna. Lawless Gloriana 'Yellow' within the Cattleyas, Vandas, Dendrobiums IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; A nice little vistor to my Orchid World....
A nice little vistor to my Orchid World.
Very beautiful, color looks like fresh butter.
While a very nice flower, your plant is probably mislabeled. Lctna. (now Gct.) Lawless Gloriana (Lc. Gold Digger x Ctna. Why Not) has an open, unruffled lip and less full, unruffled petals.
I agree that it must be mislabeled, thanks for pointing it out. It looks more like Emily Simmons Mendenhall.
I looked Blc. Emily Simmons "Mendenhall" and its very similar but yours lacks red-maroon striping around the column. It is a very nice con-color yellow. I hope someone can ID her. It's a keeper!
Contacted the grower and they say it is Pot. Marlene Lundquist 'Carmela'
A beautiful yellow catt.
That orchid has such a brilliant yellow color. Nice!
