    Default Blc. Hawaii Stars 'Hsinying'

This is the first bloom for me on this one. It has two spikes out and two more in bud. It blooms in nice clusters but has no fragrance, which is not a big deal to me. The first two clusters have a total of 13 blooms. The other two have a total of 9 buds. It earned a 2nd place at the Susquehanna Orchid Society Show. Am looking forward to seeing it develope over the years.

Congrats! I'm surprised you have it outside considering all the snow we just got! I figured it'd be too cold for orchids!

The photo that was taken outdoors was taken two weeks ago. I try to phptograph my orchids outdoors as long as the temps are in the 50's or above. That particular day it was 75.

Congratulations on the award! Your orchid is beautiful. I've had Hawaii Stars for many years. It was just a cross when I bought it and hadn't been named yet. It blooms several times a year growing outdoors in south Florida. One odd thing, mine didn't have any fragrance for the first couple of years but the blooms are very fragrant now. I don't know why that would be. It's actually one of my favorite plants because it blooms often and usually has lots of flowers. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours. Congratulations again on the award.
