When I got the plant just over a year ago it was in a 10 inch standard clay pot and in full boom with probably 2 dozen flowers. So with that being said I am hoping to keep up on the fertilizer next year so I'll see how much of a difference that will make.

You must know people in high places to have gotten a 10-in plant with 24 blooms on it - Not sure I've ever seen one for sale - they're usually tagged "NSF - "Owner Specimen". That said, it seems to me that embarking upon fertilizing schedule, of every 8 or 9 months should be just the ticket. You know what they say about things that ain't broke!

It was given to me by my good friend Dr. Ferry (who has his PHD in orchids and has been studying them for over 40 years). He gave it to me when I told him that my mother was complaining that none of my orchids were blooming.

Now THERE's a strategy I hadn't thought of! (Can you tell me how to get in touch with this Dr. Ferry?) Also, I'm wondering how one gets a Ph.D in orchids - sounds like a great project for an intellectually frustrated retired tax lawyer!
