For those interested in this red vasco but feel a bit put off by the size of the plant, maybe you should consider this cross of Vasco Crownfox Red Gem x Ascda Peggy Foo = Vasco Roll on Red. It blooms at a short height 4 ins and the red is just as vibrant. I'll post a pix of it later when all the flowers are open ( that is if the yellow beetles don't get at it first - tis the season of the yellow beetles here)

    Default Vasco Roll on Red

Here's a picture of Vasco Roll on Red ( Vasco Red Gem x Ascda Peggy Foo). The colour is almost like Red Gem but the plant blooms at a short height 4 - 5 inches. Unfortunately on some plant, like mine, the flowers tend to cluster.

    Thanks Yew and Cathy!

i see what you mean with "cluster", on the other hand, your flowers seem to stay "full and round", unlike mine only for the first 2 days or so.

I wish the flowers on mine were better arranged on the spike like yours.
