    Yes connie, it looks a lot like Bactia grape wax, they both get the wonderful color from G. bowringiana.

    The Plant is not that big, about 8-10 inches, but the spikes are long about 14-16 inches. But the growth habit is very nice due to the Encyclia parentage, they grow nicely in dense straight clumps.

    Thanks Bruce, I wrote the name in the description, I didn't write it in the title since its been my observation that most people don't see posts with obscure and complex generic names LOL

    Beautiful, Amey! I love the Encyclia influence on the growth and bloom placement on the spike, and yet with the Cattleya type substance from the Guarianthe parent! The entire presentation is stunning.
