Thanks, Roy. Coming from you, that's praise indeed. Most of the Christiearas I have are light-coloured but this one really is very dark-coloured.

I love the color. I have a big fondness for pink vanda types. I see a little of both parents in this Yew Sung. Any fragrance?

this really reminds me of the 80's... don't get me wrong, i love it... but looking at it makes me think of shoulder pads and 'Dynasty' on the television...
i still think you should adopt me, yew... i know you have too many sons, but hey, what's one more?!?

I always wondered what I didn't like about about the 80's and now you have provided the answers - yes, it was shoulder pads and 'Dynasty' . I hear that our TV station may rerun 'Dynasty' - I shudder at the thought!!! Some time ago my daughter-in-law gave me a beautiful silk 'batik' shirt from Indonesia and the wife was wondering why I didn't wear it seeing it was such a beautiful shirt. When I told her about the shoulder pads she sent it to the tailor's to have them removed. Since then it has become one of my favourite shirts at parties and functions. BTW 'batik' shirts are acceptable attire at official functions, just like in Indonesia.

What's wrong with having one more son?....well, that's one too many! LOL... Any way, having been in Taiwan for some time you must know that adoption is a serious matter for the Chinese - you have to swear to Heaven and Earth that you shall remain a filial son, that you shall wear black for 3 years as mourning when your 'father' dies; that you shall hold a ceremony under the open skies and drink 3 cups of the best Mo Tai wine with your new father in front of a makeshift family altar and repeat the names of the family patriarch of the previous 9 generations in one breath and end with 3 'kowtow's'. I learnt this from watching B- Grade Kungfu movie!!! LOLLLLL
