    Lovely species, btw.
I've told this story before: My Grandmother/Grandfather and my Aunt all grew orchids. Their father had a cigar box factory here in Tampa in the early 1900's. He imported in teak and other exotic woods for fancy cigar boxes. He would bring in orchids for his daughters. I inherited most of the plants in my very early 20's. I lost almost all to Benlate posioning.

What a huge clump! Love this 'family heirloom', Cathy. Please post when it is in full bloom.

Wow, I am still looking forward for mine to flower. Currently, mine is carrying 4 buds in 1 stalk. Hopefully it will look as good as yours...

    Cheers

These things double and triple in size every year. You could not imagine the divisions I have off hacked to give as gifts of this one and a sister plant.
Sad that the flowers are not long-lived, at all. They are thin and papery. You wait all year and within a week they are withering up.
