Cool Eplc. Don Herman 'Goldrush' and a Reed Stemmed Epidendrum noid

I've got several plants blooming their hearts out. I'm posting things together to save time. I've been out in the greenhouse and dealing with V.A. paperwork as well as a few other things so I've been super busy. I hope things settle back down soon...I miss my orchidtalk time!

...first Eplc. Don Herman 'Goldrush'. I finally got a proper name for this one, as it came with no tag when I bought it last year.

This epidendrum really flowers nicely. I have some odd flowers this time...i'm going to mark this stem and see if they flower like this again.

Beautiful! I have a Don Herman also and the flowers are just starting to fade on mine. I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and this has been a great winter for blooms down here also. I have 20 orchids in bloom at the moment. Your's look beautiful. Good job.

My epidendrum was bought at a hardware store last year for next to nothing. I was ear to ear grinning...and am happy it is doing so well. I keep it sitting in almost full sun and whenever I fill the watering can to fertilize the vanda group, I mix another round for the epi's. They can handle about anything. I thought i'd messed up when the flower spikes came out like corkscrews at first, but they stopped that and now all the new spikes are straight and nice. lol And yes...everyone's flowers are doing great our way this year from the nice weather too. I cannot believe all the new growth already this year!
