    Default Varieties of Aerides odorata

The season for A. odorata is here again. I have several varieties of this blooming at the moment. The challenge is to ensure that the blooms are not pollinated before the whole spike is bloomed. But with my kind of growing condition (outdoor 24/7) I know this is a loosing battle what with the highly perfumed fragrance emitted from the blooms (It's an odorata after all ).

    1st variety:

What can I say but 'WOW'. All the varieties are beautiful but I'm partial to the semi-alba. Congrats Mazlan for the superb culture.

WOW is correct...And if I were an insect, I could NOT resist these tempting orchids...I'd try to pollinate as many as I possibly could! Thanks for the wonderful photos of these aerides, Mazlan! The last one is my favorite! Betty

Beautifully grown, Mazlan! Like Yew, I am particularly partial to the semi-alba one.
