I have never seen it in the flesh, as it were ; Vanda species are as rare as hens teeth in Europe.
Look at what we are missing....

    Hi Maura,
im using Fujifilm HS10 with a Raynox 250 macro lens. as for lighting, i reduce the flash to its minimum, shutter around 1/125, and F 11.
Thats pretty much my standard setting, hope that helps!

Was your plant a locality to Leyte or just from Luzon and Negros?

What I have observed is that Negros locality have long strap leaves and have strong fragrance compared to Luzon locality which shorter and slightly fragrant.

Although, they are all both the same species at all with different locations.

    Hi Derek,
plant is from Negros, and i only have another one here from Luzon var. rotorii, so i cant really compare the leaves as well as the fragrance. One thing for sure, this plant from Negros is highly fragrant and at times you can smell it from meters away.
