Aranda Noorah Alsagoff , named after one of his daughters is a well-loved aranda of SE Asia and Mokara Sharifah Alsagoff 'Nong' FCC,OSSEA is the first and only(?) FCC ever awarded by OSSEA. There are many other orchids that carry the 'Alsagoff' name, and without exception, all superb clones. BTW Syed Yusof was the Co-Chairman of the Show at the recent 20 World Orchid Conference.
Thank You for the information! Wow...I knew I'd heard the name Alsagoff before. That is good to know. I chose the plant for the flower and didn't see the tag name until I got home. The crazy shape is from growing at the top of the ladies' greenhouse I bought it from. She said the parent plant had too many keikeis growing into the roof of the greenhouse and that is why it is bent over. I can't wait for their next sale this spring.
