The peloric Dal's Touch is very interesting from the point of view of genetics. It ( peloric traits) is inherent ( but recessive) in the species Laelia intermedia and comes out in the famous L .intermedia aquini - the famous splash-petal "cattleyas" where the two petals are marked and crested in the same way as the lip - in extreme cases being virtually the same as the lip. There are two doses of L.intermedia in the background to Dal's Touch , but clearly not all clones like this - "Southern Pixie" illustrated in Orchidwiz has the colouring of the lip in the two petals but no trace of shape; and incidentally that clone has the red and yellow colouring coming more from the Broughtonia, whereas your plant - this clone - has the colouring from the intermedia. It all adds up to a case-book example of genetics in orchid breeding. Thanks for showing.

Lovely, I love the all, but I tend to lean on the first two.
