Has always had a rather weak neck in my culture - when I can grow it to hold its head up without assistance I'll know I am getting it right. Two flowers here - but my fingers of one hand can only hold up one flower whilst the other operates the camera .

It must be a big and heavy flower. Specially the lip looks gigantic. In case next time you will get it right. Please tell us how you did it.

Great one! Looks a lot like Rhyncolaelia digbyana, but very yellow and less fringe.

But a great deal easier to grow than digbyana. I guess I have owned plants of that species for half my orchid life, never seen a flower, never grown a bulb that looked as though it might flower, and in the case of the last three seedlings bought at the World Orchid Conf, 4 years ago - which were plants with several bulbs, the lead one beng say 3 inches high - never seen a new growth...
As far as I know from personal experience, R.digbyana is just a myth !
