Cool Cattlianthe Hazel Boyd (Cattleya California Apricot x Cattlianthe Jewel Box)

This orchid needs a tag update too. I still have it as an SLC Hazel Boyd 'Elizabeth'
Maybe I will update it - maybe not. I damaged the bloom when spraying. The bottom petal has a strange washed out look.

Here she is to enjoy anyway...

    I thought I had it!
    I mean understanding nomenclature.

Checking Cattlianthe Hazel Boyd 'Elizabeth' on the web is showing images of a yellow orchid with orange red lip and splashes on the petals as well images of a bright red flowers. Some of the bright red flowers are named Cattlianthe Hazel Boyd 'Elizabeth' sub var. 'Debbie".
Since when a clone can have a sub. variety.
Since when a clone can be so much different as this two so called Ctt. Hazel Boyd 'Elizabeth'

Maybe I don't have it at all!
Or some commercial growers out there are playing us.

    Bruce,
I love the sparks on the flowers surface
    I also understand your disappointment.
Orchids also have bad years as we have our bad days.
Next year it may show it's entire potential and make it up with you.
