Sorry for the poor photos, took one with sunlight, one with flash to give you perspective of colors. This one is also fragrant, unfortunately the blossoms were determined to all face different directions. Blc. Waianae Leopard 'Ching-Hua' x C. Landate Charm. Realible, if not asthetically cooperative, bloomer. The large photo is sunlight, the other flash - I have no idea why my photo software made one large and one small.....sigh
This is surprisingly viewable, in fact, I think I've looked at this a couple of times already today... hmm... could it be, I'm becoming a Catt lover?
Couldn't find anything about C Landate Charm though. There is a Cattleya Landate and also a Cattleya Charm, so I wonder if it is some kind of cross of those two...
By the way, the photos are really well done Diane, I don't think there is much difference between natural and flash lighting...
The catt is great! The photos look great too. It is almost as if you did a thumbnail and a full size shot! Regardless, it is beautiful. Sometimes the blooms face all different directions so that you can put it in the center of the table to show it off from all sides.
interesting pattern for sure!
I really like how waxy the petals and sepals are. Diane, you should try taking more pics at different angles. That first shot would be really something, I think, if you could get rid of the glare.
