It is really green, Roy. They have been under plastic for the winter. It really shades them. The plant is in multi-spike. The mother plant has several in various stages as well as the offsets. The flower shape isn't typical. I have a pink one that is very much like this one. It is much more a reluctant bloomer.
The multi spike is a relief, Cathy. I look at my plants and they are a lot lighter in green & still some of the mongrels won't flower. I have 3 or 4 coming with spikes, one should be open in a few days. Its interesting as its V. Batram = Mimi Palmer x insignis. Only 2 buds, small plant.
Roy, It is weird. I have some like this pink KF that just sort of stood still and haven't done a thing. While this plant went crazy with growth.
I would love to see your Batram.
Me make boo-boo, V. Batram is Mimi Palmer x denisoniana, not insignis. Looked at wrong cross.
