    Default Dialaeliocattleya Village Chief Parfum

This is one of those wonderful plants that has done well despite my efforts at TLC.
The parentage is Caulaelia Snowflake x Cattleya Mildred Rives.
The flowers are approx 4 1/2 inches each way (and not fully open yet).
As for fragrance...... "Parfum" is an understatement - it's pure Heaven!

WOW!!! Beautiful blooms and gorgeous photo! I'm familiar with C. Mildred Rives, but I have to confess I have no idea what a Caulolaelia is - what is the "Caulo" part?

According to Google : Caulaelia is a cross between Caularthron (formerly Diacrium) and Laelia, so it's really Dialaelia for those who knew it previously. The "Powers that Be" love to confuse us all with ever-changing names, don't they?

I can't get Dialaelia snowflake over here, although I have tried hard.... so I have 3 of the offspring instead!

Gorgeous blooms! Maura, Caularthron is now Diacrium...of course, I could have that backwards.

Hey Jason - thanks for further obscuring my lack of catt. knowledge!!! Now I'm totally out of my depth and not seeing dry land anywhere in sight - am going to have to get out my Orchid books, I suppose.

Not only fragrant, but also beautiful orchid blooms. Great color in the lip of this cattleya type orchid.
