Nat, the plant I was talking about that has given me so much trouble is: warneri Rosea var. Erico. You have to watch for rot all the time.

It is a beautiful C. warneri coerulea!
Did you get it as a seedling or is it a clone?

    Thank you Horst!
I bought the plant about one and the half year ago as a mature plant. It was labelled as "Cattleya warneri coerulea #1"; no awards etc. I don't think this clone was ever brought for judging.

    Well,
my last year purchased Select has just finished blooming (a good one!). Five 7,5 " flowers on the spike last almost three weeks.
