Since I like it so much, I have started my own research. The Ascda Betty May Steele is just a yellow hybrid with spots. To me, nothing special. I wonder if the Kasem's Delight is making it so dramatic.

Betty May Steele has produced some beautiful progeny. Many are odd colored. I've seen this cross in a few variations. Do you remember the old post? http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...s-delight.html

Wonderful muted rose color, Cathy. I LOVE your vandas...wish I could grow them, but as Summer comes, our humidity goes WAY DOWN! Guess I'll just stare at yours and drool...I hope you win the BLUE ribbon...Betty
