It is indeed King, and a prolific bloomer too, mine is in bloom at least eight times in a year

good for you King. Now I'm worried about my spathoglottis which are in bloom right now and are planted outside my fence. I think I better move them to a safer spot.

Default Fast forward: One year and two months later

ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS LATER:

Update: It has grown so much in a year's time. It is quite tall now so my shot's angle is from below the flowers. I was already on a chair while taking this photo. And this time, as you can see in the photo, it has THREE spikes simultaneously. Even I am amazed!!!

I'm always amazed by the health and vigour of your orchids. This is is a fine example of a well grown Mokara. Bravo, Angel.

Thank you , Yew Sung. It may be because this plant is of age. It is now, I estimate, 4 feet tall and a very vigorous grower. Maybe it's past that stage where it is vulnerable to the elements. I don't know. I just think so. Maybe if it doesn't grow at the same rate as it produces flowers, it will run out of axillary spaces where it can produce new spikes. hahaha

Thank you, Zain. I'm not sure what happened with this orchid and the orange ascocenda Madam Kenny hybrid planted close to it. They seem to be overflowing with "hormones" in terms of growth and flower production. hahahaha. Very soon both will be too tall for me. I'm thinking of making a top cutting, but I'm afraid that this outstanding productivity will be adversely affected.

Aside from its prolific, multi-spiked flowering, another outstanding thing about this orchid is that it has kept its leaves in almost the entirety of its five-foot length. The lower part of the plant is partly covered by the light violet dendrobium.
