    Default ...in bloom again

While this plant doesn't get a ton of flowers, it blooms 3-4 times a year. And every time it blooms I remember why I fell in love with it to begin with....

Yes Connie it is beautiful, but then I'm biased as this cross originated from Malaya/Singapore and also I'm very partial to all Josephine van Brero crosses. This cross of JVB x Jennie Hashimoto was named and registered by TMA Orchids (no longer in existence) in 1961 as V Patricia Low (without the 'e'). Though an old cross, it still retains its 'old world' charm and very few modern JVB crosses with the more 'superior' strap leaf vandas of today can compare with it.

If only all the Vanda's bloomed three to four times a year...................................now that would be orchid paradise! Since I'm dreaming anyway I might as well "go whole hog" and ask that they all have irresistable scents and that the blooms average at least ten inches wide. Wouldn't that be a amazing world! AL

It always looks like that. It hangs with the other vanda that get much fatter roots, while this one limps along. The newer growth looks better but still never looks super healthy. However, it keeps blooming anyways. Go figure...
