    Cool Cattleya Walkerinter fma coerulea

Woo hoo...finally! I mounted this onto driftwood a couple years ago. These are the first blooms. The blue is much easier to see in person. Pictures don't do them justice...

Beautiful Connie. These are really nice plants to grow and bloom, wait another year and there will be many more blooms per spike.

The blues and whites are sometimes hard to photograph, Connie. That said, I think your orchid blooms are stunning. Nice going. I have so much trouble keeping mounted cattleyas and dendrobium orchids humid enough. I do so much with then when potted in a bark mix. Nice growing.

    cheers,
    BD

Yes, the back part of the plant looks awful. In another year the back part will probably dry up where I can remove them. This plant is a very slow grower and never re-established roots after it was mounted. The new growths, however, have extensive roots and are doing much better.
