Going through a bit of orchid-buying withdrawal lately, while waiting for some trades to finalize, I found this little mounted catt at a local farmer's market and needed to bring it home. The vendor kind of made a thing about it being mounted on genuine Japanese 'dragonwood'(?) I liked the colors and mild fragrance of this little lady.
Nice dwarf Catt.
I am sorry to spoil your excitement but I see mild color break symptoms on the flower. Please quarantine this plant and get get tested.
Such a huge bloom on a mini - cattleya orchid plant. How cool!
I am not so much worried about the splash petals but with the lip and petal on the top. Also the black spots on the growths are not a good sign either.Even in pelorics there are no streaks on the outer tepals. The streaking pattern on the upper tepal is a very characteristic of either ORSV or heat shock.
It will be checked. Thanks
