    Default Dendrobium lasianthera

    Native to Indonesia again under section Spatulata with very long cane can grow more than 2 meter with nice fragrance especially during day time here I have 2 clones with long lasting flowers.The first clone.

    Second clone the flower is less dense as compared to the first but I like the second one very colorful like rainbow. Sorry I had a problem to download the photos very slow I don't know why maybe traffic jam?

    Oh my word! I totally love both of them! Now, where do we buy these?? lol Too pretty...thank you for sharing these. I have not seen them before.

    One of the most beautiful dendrobiums. I aagree - the second variety is truly outstanding!

    Hi Connie I do believe some of the nurseries in Florida maybe got this species, they do love the hot sun I never use any shade at all.Thanks.

    I also would buy either or both of these in a New York minute. Love them both...
    Zainal, you're lucky where you are- spatulatas in general aren't really widely available in this part of the world it seems. Not many species and it seems fewer of the awesome curly hybrids are offered. Too bad, they're my favorites and do well here in more southerly Florida and should be just as great in the Caribbean in general.

    I saw a reddish lasianthera in a show display earlier this month- I went and asked the grower about it, as he had a sales table (no cool dends). He said it was rare and didn't seem interested in discussing it any more. Missed sale opportunity...
