    Default Dendrobium Eima Jade

Here is a shot of the first rebloom on this one. I really liked the yellowish green flower and the purple/pink lip combination. It has a second spike I just noticed when I took it out to photograph!

First photo is of the flowers:

Second photo is of the plant: (there is a Denrobium Burana Jade in the same pot, but it is not in bloom)

Matt, would you mind telling me a bit about this plant? I just received one for a gift yesterday! - my first Dendrobium. I've been reading about care for them, but it would be great to get firsthand advice if you don't mind. Do you keep it outside? Does it need about 50% strong light or more? Or less?

Mine gets direct sun (through two layers of glass on the sliding glass door) in the morning hours up until about 11/12 o'clock, with nothing else besides the glass filtering the light. It is right up within 6 inches of glass.

I water it when the medium is nearly dried out, and even less in the winter.

This summer it has spent some of the time outside on the patio table, under an umbrella that filters the light pretty heavily like shade cloth, but the majority of the summer it has been indoors with daytime temps in the upper 70's and nights in the upper 60's to low 70's.

    Hope this helps.
