Thanks it is a nice one. I've never been able to get a close up like that until I got a tripod.

Wolfy old pal are the colours really like that ?
Or is the lighting screwing them up slightly ?
It looks a tad bleached.

The flash may have washed out some of the bud color on the top but the bloom is like that. I can take another if you like when the sun goes down and see if that changes it.

this is the same flower, same position on deck but I didn't use a flash this time. At 1943 it's bright out but no direct sun on my yard at all.

It is just a hint of purple too... very hard to capture and get into the depths of the throat too. In bright sun you don't see the purple much at all.
