Default A Frilly Vanda for your Enjoyment!

Vanda Maria Bos joined my collection in October 2011. This is the second time it blooms for me. I am not a big fan of the round-petaled vandas; hence, my collection of vandas is rather small. I fell in love with this unabashedly "I'm frilly and girly and pink and bright and sparkly and I'm not ashamed of it," bloom as soon as I saw it. Unlike my subdued Laelias, this Vanda is all sparkle. I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. IT.

Photos were taken this afternoon. I hope you enjoy

    The whole plant.

I'm not a big fan of most vandas either--but I love this one!

Love the flower but I would like to be friends rather than enemies with any of the folk in the photos. Does anyone have ancestors who looked happy having their photos taken?

You can really tell the JVB influence. Very nice.

SNORT. The very SERIOUS white-haired lady is Great Grandmother Paulina, who, in her youth, was a fiery redhead and a temper to match. The other is great-grandmother Carmen, who, by all accounts, was a very sweet woman.

This is a very lovely V Josephine van Brero hybrid. You have one of the better clones of this hybrid - very good form and excellent colour and good flower count! Congratulations from a long-time grower of JVB crosses!
