    Default Encyclia tampensis in bloom

One of my oldest plants, a few times re-mounted. Very interesting plant. Every bloom I see different colored flowers (lips) on the same spike(s).

    Now:
Plant is blooming with 22 spikes. I am quite happy. It is VERY fragrant (nicely).

    Wow! That's impressive!

How do you remount? I have my tampensis alba mounted a couple of years ago. The little stick is getting too small for the plant, but I am not sure how to remove and remount it.

Very beautiful and so well grown. Can't wait for mine to get some more size on it! That first mount was really interesting. Nice Job, Natallie.
    Cheers,

    Yew, Bruce, Jeff, Liz, Tony,
    thank you very much friends!
It is very easy to grow those plants here in Florida for they are Florida native plants. Actually, my plant is from one of South Florida nurseries but it does not matter. We have many Enc. tampensis around. I think I showed pictures of them in-situ before... may be I should do it again.

It used to be mounted on piece of oak log (you saw it) but with time the bark came off. I took piece of wire and mounted the bark with Encyclia on a cedar slab. Next time I will use a bigger slab.
