Nice color, but I think I would be questioning the name. Flower form & although hard to see, the foliage looks wrong also.

I'm not sure, either. I bought out someone that mainly grew Mokara and Archanis types. They were done growing orchids. This is one of those in the bunch.

This one looks more like a 'semi-terete' type vanda.

It does, but I wasn't going to discount the tag. Most have bloomed true. I like this plant. It is growing in full blazing sun on my fence with the other Mkra.

Well the blooms have great, vibrant color no matter the actual cross of this orchid. The tiny, dark spots instead of tesslations is really pretty in this bloom.

    cheers,
    BD

That's semi-terete vanda or Ascocenda. I bet it's got V Emma van Deventer in its parentage with that colour, strawberry spots and especially that lip. If anything it resembles V Nellie Morley ( Emma van Deventer x sanderiana)and a very good one at that. Congrats Cathy for a truly beautiful bloom!

Gorgeous, Cathy! I would question the name too. Reminds me a bit of my Vanda T.M.A. (var. Red), but definitely different. Lovely!

    Here's my Vanda T.M.A. (red).
